An unusual yet constructive 2020 - A letter from Claes

HappyHolidays.jpg

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are managing to stay safe and well as the world slows down to connect and reflect on what has been a most unusual and often challenging year.

The last quarter of 2020 has been exceptionally busy here at Liquid Wind, as we continue to make progress with this essential project. Below you will find details of the traction we have made so far, in our mission to bring eMethanol to market at scale. And yet, we still have a long way to go to make our ambitions a reality. Starting with one facility, in Örnsköldsvik on the north-east coast of Sweden, and then scaling to 500 facilities by 2050. This will prevent the emission of 50 million tons of CO2 every year (the equivalent of Sweden’s total emissions)!

We continue to build momentum, having reached key project milestones for the first facility, whilst making good progress on other fundamental aspects of our business model.

As we enter 2021, we will focus on Basic Engineering and the commercial requirements to reach financial close for the first facility, as well as ensuring a strong, scalable business and a steady facility pipeline.

As we get ready for Christmas and the New Year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a safe and peaceful break. Thank you for your encouragement throughout 2020, we really appreciate your support as we bring carbon neutral fuel to market at scale.

With best regards,

Claes Fredriksson
